Director

Sian Davies, Founder and Director of The Biojemmss Organisation, graduated from The University of Leeds in 2008 with First Class Honours in English Literature and Language BA International. She went on to successfully complete her two-year Masters in Social Work from the University of York, finishing as a fully Qualified Social Worker. Sian has extensive international experience with NGOs and Christian Ministries, carrying out a variety of roles including teaching and counselling. Notably, Sian has served with Face to Face Ministries in Mongolia, The Vine Church in Hong Kong, Christian Action in Hong Kong, as well as a number of Childrens Homes in China and Uganda. Sian has also completed formal work with TASO (The AIDS Support Organisation) in Uganda, Barnardos Youth Homelessness Project, Access Academy’s asylum-seeker project, and a UK based HIV organisation. Her areas of expertise include street children, asylum-seekers and HIV. Sian is passionate about justice and is dedicated to furthering the rights of Children in Africa, particularly taking a stand against corruption and abuse in Childrens’ Homes. She is committed to keeping The Biojemmss Organisation not only child-centred but Christ-centred, aspiring to reflect Christ’s call for justice, mercy, love and compassion.

Residential Manager and Child/Youth Care Worker

Mitembo Allan, fondly known as Bright, has been the Resident Manager of Biojemmss since May 2009. Bright finished his education with a degree from Makerere University in Computing. After graduating, Bright worked for Jesus Christ Church in Kampala as a Program Coordinator-working with the youth and the creative dancing groups. Bright has been a Christian for seven years and is committed to, and has a passion for, spreading the gospel, discipling young people and for ministry. Bright was indispensable to the founding of Biojemmss and remains dedicated to the youth and the values of the ministry.

Maisar Muzamil, Assistant Manager

Maisar Muzamil, Assistant Manager

Residential Advisor and Assistant Manager

Maisar Maiku Muzamil, known as Michael, has been the Assistant Manager of Biojemmss since May 2009, although he has informally held the role since 2007. Michael has a natural gift with children and is dedicated to furthering Childrens Rights in Uganda. He has a similar background to many of the youth and provides invaluable insight and wisdom to the Biojemmss Team. Michael is currently furthering his expertise by taking a counselling training course.

Care Workers
Biojemmss employs a female care worker to provide personal care to the younger children.

Child Counsellors

Biojemmss works with a Qualified female and a Qualified male social worker to provide support to the youth. Biojemmss has also partnered with the local church to provide pastoral care.

HIV Prevention

TASO, Rukungiri, provides HIV prevention training and teaching.

Grace Kayira

Grace Kayira, Researcher

Researcher (Kampala Based)

Grace Kayira has been informally involved with the project since 2007, but took on the part-time Researcher role in January 2010. Grace has vast experience working with Ugandan NGOs and is currently employed as Creative Instructor and Administrator by Music to Save Lives, a Spanish NGO operating in Kampala. Grace completed his Advanced Diploma in Software Engineering whilst working with ministries dedicated to improving the lives of Ugandan Children.

Arriane Morgan, Director's PA

Director’s PA

Arriane Morgan has a God-given love and compassion for children, and has been intrigued and excited by The Biojemmss Organisation since first hearing the Biojemmss story. Keen to support Sian Davies in the day-to-day running of the organisation, Arriane took on the role of Director’s PA. Arriane grew up in the South of England, and became a Christian at the age of eleven. In 2008, she moved to the North. Arriane is married with a young daughter, and she and her family attend the Elim church in York.





Matt Parkins, IT Support

Matt Parkins, IT Support

IT Support

Matt Parkins, Pastor at York Elim Pentecostal Church, studies theology and runs an internet business. He has visited the project in Rukungiri and was fully convinced of its necessity and success, and so offers his IT skills and resources to the project (such as the website and anything else techie!). Matt is married to Jo and has two little cupcakes for daughters.











Biojemmss works with the Elim Team at HQ and has a number of other individuals in its York team yet to be added to the website.
